New Product Development
There are few moments as exciting as your first sale. Taking a software product from an idea to where it starts to generate revenue is a long and arduous journey, one that I am intimately familiar with. As the (former) product lead for ReachPlus Alerts - an emergency messaging solution with customers like General Electric and Panasonic to name only a couple, I have first-hand experience with the inception, development and marketing of software products.
Over the last 10 years, I have been involved with at least a couple of successful software products with each company I have worked with. I immensely enjoy helping answer questions such as "Is this the right product to build?" "Is this the right feature-set for our next release?" "Will our technology choices be correct in hindsight, 5 years from now?" "When do we break even?" "How can we launch this in 3 months?"
Software products require deep immersion and expertise into your chosen vertical. They require technology choices that mitigate future risks, a team that loves building products, realistic sales projections and sane, patient planning.
